As CEO and co-founder of Solstroem, Karim works at making carbon markets smarter, more trusted, and more automated. More specifically Solstroem automates the generation of micro carbon offsets (MCOs) from distributed solar installations in real-time, thus offering a fully-traceable and data-driven offsetting option to businesses and individuals.
In his Industrial Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen, Karim has researched numerous industry applications of Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, notably in the Energy, and Climate/ Carbon markets. His work has been published in the world’s leading venues on Human-Computer Interaction. Karim also holds an M.Sc. in International Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and has over 10 years of experience designing and implementing courses and workshops to various audiences ranging from corporate to executive MBAs.
