Eddy Abboud

Eddy Abboud is the CEO of Gulf Business Machines Oman, a leading technology and business solution provider, addressing all enterprise level organizations in Oman.

Before becoming the head of GBM in the sultanate, he devoted 12 of his total 21 years of experience in various GBM locations, mainly in UAE. Before that, he was focused on telecom sector managing and building service providers in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi, Romania, and West Africa.

Eddy has been given in 2019 by Oman Economic Review the “Technology Person of the Year” award. Also, he was featured in Forbes Middle East discussing Digital Transformation, and again by OER as “Top 100 most influencing CEOs”.

Eddy holds a master’s degree in business administration. In 2018, he graduated from Harvard Business School majored in leadership where he focused on corporate transformation and organizational culture. This year, he is continuing further his studies in “Authentic Leadership” at Harvard Business School.

Eddy strongly believes in life-long learning and giving the opportunity for people to grow. He recently launched in GBM Oman an internship program named “Siraj” that is dedicated for Omani fresh graduates. Siraj is a very structured program with the intention to train Omani and give them hands-on experience on latest technologies and access to GBM’s vast number of experts, strategic partners, and customers projects.

Apart from his professional life, Eddy is a father of 2 boys (and a third on the way), he likes to travel, read, learn, and play chess.
